  • I Really Don't Need That Right Now...

I'm thinking about quitting my job. I really hate working there. I'm not getting paid what I should be for the amount of work that I do. I'm just not motivated at all to keep going in. I actually liked working there. The people I work with are great. It's just these past couple of months they've been over working me to the point where I'm unhappy. There's no fucking way I'm gonna be unhappy because of some crappy job. I really don't need that right now.

I've talked to my boss about getting a raise. The most they would do is $1. $1!!!! I do work that's supposed to be done by the supervisors, I'm crossed trained for every department but two, and I'm a trainer. ONE FUCKING DOLLAR?! That's the best they can come up with? After a two and a half years, bringing our store's department up to the number one store in the district and into the top 200 for the company, and taking on the responsibilities for not one but two different supervisors in the department, they want to give me one dollar raise. It's almost unbelievable. Makes me feel very appreciated.

The problem with quitting is that there aren't very many jobs going around right now. I don't have a car right now, so I can't really get a job outside of the city. I'm probably gonna quit anyway. On principal alone, I know I should.

Anyway, here's a few pics from the other day. I went for a bit of a hike with the guys and accidentally took a picture of my shoe when I got home. I tweaked the color a bit in the shoe pic. For a guy who knows how to use Photoshop pretty well, I don't do much editing on my photos.

I kinda like having the picture look natural. I try to get my shots to come out as close to what I'm actually seeing as possible. The world's a pretty amazing place. We've kind of lost sight of that in the digital age. It's either that, or I think I just have a bit of an appreciation for sight in general. I mean, without my glasses, I can't see for shit. I already have a distorted view of the world, why go and create an artificially distorted one?
