I'm thinking about quitting my job. I really hate working there. I'm not getting paid what I should be for the amount of work that I do. I'm just not motivated at all to keep going in. I actually liked working there. The people I work with are great. It's just these past couple of months they've been over working me to the point where I'm unhappy. There's no fucking way I'm gonna be unhappy because of some crappy job. I really don't need that right now.
I've talked to my boss about getting a raise. The most they would do is $1. $1!!!! I do work that's supposed to be done by the supervisors, I'm crossed trained for every department but two, and I'm a trainer. ONE FUCKING DOLLAR?! That's the best they can come up with? After a two and a half years, bringing our store's department up to the number one store in the district and into the top 200 for the company, and taking on the responsibilities for not one but two different supervisors in the department, they want to give me one dollar raise. It's almost unbelievable. Makes me feel
very appreciated.
The problem with quitting is that there aren't very many jobs going around right now. I don't have a car right now, so I can't really get a job outside of the city. I'm probably gonna quit anyway. On principal alone, I know I should.
Anyway, here's a few pics from the other day. I went for a bit of a hike with the guys and accidentally took a picture of my shoe when I got home. I tweaked the color a bit in the shoe pic. For a guy who knows how to use Photoshop pretty well, I don't do much editing on my photos.
I kinda like having the picture look natural. I try to get my shots to come out as close to what I'm actually seeing as possible. The world's a pretty amazing place. We've kind of lost sight of that in the digital age. It's either that, or I think I just have a bit of an appreciation for sight in general. I mean, without my glasses, I can't see for shit. I already have a distorted view of the world, why go and create an artificially distorted one?

For someone who doesn't edit his photos, they come out pretty damn good. That is really, really refreshing to me.
Beautiful pictures. Hopefully you can get situated with work and such.
@AibellFaeire & LilSweetJew - Thanks, ladies.
Cool pics. Sucks about the job thing. Since you know so much, maybe you can open your own, more improved store! Hehe, kidding.
@iDesireeRose - I'd have to deal with way too many wackos if I did.
Let's start a strip club in the North Bay. There's all those rich girls up there with serious "Daddy's money" issues; find one for financial, and the rest for recruitment!
@Drakonskyr - I can totally DJ the shit out of a strip club!
"Everybody get your singles ready the talented Trixie! *Mercedes, ready stage 2.*"
I can see it now, "The Shady Lady Gentleman's Club".
thanks for your comment. and yeah you're right about needing to get closer to the source of the problem to ever achieve a solution.
How can you accidentally take a picture of your shoe? Hahaha
I'm sorry the job sucks. I hope it gets better for you. Any progress on your decision-making?
Great picture. Love the shoe shot.
I will go to the Shady Lady Gentleman's Club if you open it.
I hope your work situation improves. You could try telling them you'll quit if they don't give you a better raise or cut your workload. Worst situation, they ignore your demands and get pissy and you quit anyway.
