I'm almost 82.5% sure I want to change my username. Don't worry about how I got that exact percentage. There's an equation for everything! Anyway... Yeah... The meaning behind Lithium98 doesn't really fit anymore. The 17.5% that's keeping me from actually changing it is the fact that I am Lithium98. After seven years on Xanga as Lithium98, it's become a part of me. If someone says the word lithium out in public, I turn around. It's like someone went into my brain and carved it in right next to my real name.
I'm really worried that if I do change it, I'll just change it back. Wanting to change it could be a result of trying to change a lot of stuff in life right now. I've been thinking about the change for a few months now, but only now have I really considered doing it. I think I've got to do some more thinking over this.
If I do change it, it's gonna be "TheReckoner". Inspired by Radiohead's song by the same name. Why "TheReckoner"? I've got my reasons. Like the song, it's totally up for interpretation. The song, by the way, is one of the best Radiohead songs. It's a song that is definitely on the soundtrack to my life.

If you do change your username, it'll be weird for a while--both for yourself and your readers/friends here. But we'll get use to it in the end. Just remember, the name changes but the writing and writer don't.

The other week, I read an article headline that said "Lithium doesn't slow Lou Gehrig's disease" and I was like, "Of course Raffy can't slow Lou Gehrig's disease."
Anyway, I changed my username like a year and a half ago. It used to be NotionCarnival. I had so grown out of it and wanted something timeless and straightforward. The change was revitalizing. So yeah, if it's what you want, I RECKON YOU OUGHTTA DO IT.

@JesyCole - I really like the whole "end of the world" vibe some of these sunset pictures can give off. The sun is out, it's obviously bright, but the world looks all dark and gloomy. That's what I get from them. What do you see?

I actually really like your username. It's simple, bold ('cause it's in all caps), and straight forward. I've been thinking about doing a post on the best usernames on Xanga. I've seen some pretty good ones lately.
@Lithium98 - yes, i am as unsure. i wanted to switch it to hilaw's phonetic version, helao. but the look of hilaw ,the word, has distinguished me, i think. and i am surprised a lot of people actually know how to pronounce it. it's a tagalog word for unripe or uncooked. so i've put it off. i have asked and people seem to like hilaw as is.
@Lithium98 - I used to be awth44. I'd used that name on a few things when I was younger and in a way I sort of outgrew it. I began to become more active in the Xanga community and it no longer fit my blog. So after a fun little contest I changed to this. :)
@Lithium98 - XANGA'Z BEZT UZERNAMEZ. You should totally do it.
You should use the name you like. As someone else said the writing will still be you. The photos are wonderful. Great job on those.
Don't forget to have backup usernames picked out, just in case another Xangan's already claimed TheReckoner!
@ElusiveSoul - Did you check it out to see if it was available too? I didn't even think to check it until last night. The guy who has it, hasn't used it in 6 years. I'm hoping the Xanga Team can free it up for me.
@Lithium98 - It'd be awesome if they could, but I'm not sure what Xanga's policy is there--my first choice of a username was taken, so I thought I'd pass on that advice to you. Maybe TheReckoner98? Then you could have a bit of your current username, as well! lol
If you change your username, someone can open a blog under that name and then you can't get it back. And if you open another site under that name so you can hold onto it, then want the name back, you'll have to change the *other* site's name before you can have Lithium98 again.
Complicated! We should be able to put our names on layaway or something until we make up our minds.

But still if you have out grown it despite whatever reasons That still a decisive change from when you were last lithium 98...
